Description: This is a non-musical, faithful adaptation of the classic movie. Many roles will be doubled and actors may be asked to play multiple characters.

Auditions will take place at the theatre in the downstairs rehearsal space at 395 Main Street in Stoneham. Please enter the door marked Stoneham Theatre (2 doors to the right of the main theatre entrance).
Please prepare a contemporary monologue in keeping with the tone of the piece, no more than three minutes in length.
Kids4Kids: Romeo and Juliet

Monday, August 25th, 5:30pm-9:30pm at Stoneham Theatre, 395 Main Street
Audition Requirements
Please bring 10 lines of memorized Shakespearean verse (from a play other than Romeo and Juliet)
Seeking 21 teen actors in 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades with an interest (but not neccessarily experience) in performing Shakespeare to join a travelling Shakespeare performance troupe that will bring a seven-person Romeo and Juliet to Boston-area middle and high schools in October 2008-May 2009.
Most performances will occur during the school day, so students must have a B- or better academic average as well as parental permission to miss some school. Rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 4th. Rehearsals will be Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings until performances begin Mid-October 2008. Performances will continue until mid-May 2009.

Audience Services Representative
Stoneham Theatre seeks qualified candidate for the position of Audience Services Representative in the Box Office. Must have a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, approximately 25 hours per week. A professional attitude and excellent organizational skills are a must. The successful candidate will possess strong customer service, computer, and phone skills, and will have the ability to multi-task.
